The programme
Departure by private bus to Trieste. Stops at leisure and packed lunch from home.
Arrival in Redipuglia around 13:00 h, meet with the guide and visit “Walks of Peace” at Dolina dei Bersaglieri with an educational documentary at the trenches (The three soldiers).
Guided tour of the Great War Museum and the Memorial.
The tour continues towards Trieste. Dinner at the restaurant and overnight at the hotel.
Breakfast. Meet the guide for a walking tour of Trieste. The tour will include Piazza Unità d’Italia, the old Jewish ghetto, the Roman Theatre, Borgo Teresiano and the Greek- and Serbian-Orthodox churches, then a visit to the beautiful cathedral on top of San Giusto Hill. From the cathedral, transfer by bus to Risiera di San Sabba, sadly renowned for being the only Nazi concentration camp in Italy. Departure.
Cost per person
– minimum 50 paying students from €60.00
The price includes:
– 1 night in a 3* hotel with bed and breakfast accommodation;
– dinner at a restaurant (three-course meal, water included);
– 2 half-day guided tours;
– 4 free single rooms for teaches and driver;
– AMI FILO DIRETTO medical, luggage and civil liability insurance.
The price does not include:
– private bus hire;
– lunches and extra drinks;
– personal extras;
– anything not included in “The price includes”;
– €10 deposit per student at the hotel, payable on site; the deposit will be returned providing no damage is caused to hotel property
