Culture, landscapes and unique tastes
A trip to discover the beauty of one of Italy’s largest lakes and the historical and artistic heritage surrounding it.
The visit includes the Vittoriale degli Italiani, the house of poet Gabriele D’Annunzio, the medieval Rocca Scaligera castle, built at the end of the 13th century at the bidding of the town lords of Verona, a suggestive entrance to the old town of Sirmione that can be reached walking across a stone bridge that leads to Piazza Castello, where the Church of Saint Anna is located.
The visit continues with a walk in the centre of Torri del Benaco, a beautiful small town that hosts the Ethnographic Museum, with the first room dedicated to fresh water fishing in Italy.
The trip ends with a visit to Park Sigurtà, a 60-hectare natural park in Valeggio sul Mincio, in the province of Verona. Runner-up for the European Garden Award in 2015 and winner of the Best Italian Park Award in 2013.
